Red Rooibos is not a tea in the true sense of the word. True tea comes from the Camellia Sinensis plant. Aspalathus linearis or Rooibos, however, is a bush that grows in South Africa. It is a broom-like member of the Fabaceae family of plant that grow in South Africa's fynbos. Red Rooibos is infused the same as tea and is being toted as "Red Tea."
